Nothing…

It’s about 7:50 am on a Wednesday and I finally get to go to bed.  The past month or so has been hell for me and I have actually hated almost every minute I’ve spent at the computer writing drill.   All of it for reasons I won’t even begin to discuss publicly.

The purpose of this blog is to just essentially make note that the chance I will actually write anything in here over the course of the next few months is slim to none.  I can’t even remember to eat dinner at night.  (but I do snack.)

For those that read my blogs and are maybe looking forward to news and/or updates of any sort, there won’t be much of anything to read until at least August.  There’s a chance I may still post random little videos with a short description, but as of now there’s no point for me to write blogs when I have to write drill.  Pretty obvious though.

Hope everyone is having a great summer!

Don’t Stop

First of all… wow it has been a long time since I posted anything. Ah well… staying busy.

I am getting excited for the two new Guitar Hero titles that are coming out this summer and fall, and for fun I took a break from writing to check out some vids on YouTube.

Yeah, there’s the typical “100% on Through The Fire and Flames on Expert!”, yadda yadda… or the 8 year-old who can play through it perfectly… yeah, okay! Those are great and all… but for some reason this video stuck out and I am stunned.

The technology isn’t what gets me… it’s the fact that this guy is like the friggin’ Energizer bunny… if you wanna see what I mean, watch it and you’ll know.

I didn’t read all about him, but he appears to be a professional drummer. However, just the coordination it took him to do this still shocks me. I’ve known and seen a lot of skilled percussionists in my days and I’m not saying I think this guy is the best I’ve ever seen or anything of that sort… but I will say that this guy has got some seriously MAD chops to be able to do this.

So please… take 10 minutes and watch this whole video. It may impress some… may seem kinda lame to others. But watching this makes me wonder if he ever did drum corps… or what it would be like if he did do drum corps and what it would be like to hear him wail on a tenor solo for 10 minutes!! :) haha! (he’s old though, I know… but still!)

I don’t care though… I’m impressed and watched this all the way through twice. Both times make my arms hurt just thinking of it. Maybe that’s more because I’m not a drummer/percussionist, but I can only imagine. Wow! Great job!  And it’s hard to see on the video but he’s got that pad sectioned off and you see it better at the end when there’s a closer-up shot.
